Locals receive award for aiding law enforcement officials in locating murder suspect

Ken LeCroy with Georgia Arson Control was at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Thursday to present reward checks to two local citizens that came forth with information that led to the arrest and conviction of three suspects in the 2015 Freeman-McSpadden arson/murder investigation. John Price and Megan Price provided information that led to the arrest and conviction and for coming forth, were eligible for the reward. Citizens with information in arson cases are eligible up to a $10,000 reward if the information leads to an arrest and conviction.
