Rick and Mary Kathryn Davis announce the engagement of their daughter, Betty Morgan Davis of Tifton, to Taylor Cooksey, son of Mike and Carol Cooksey of Tifton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Eleanor Davis of Americus, the late Harold Davis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Horne. She is a 2010 graduate of Southland Academy and in 2014, graduated from Valdosta State University with a degree in education. She is employed as a teacher at Annie Belle Clark Primary School in Tifton.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Harris of Hahira and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Alvin “Bo” Cooksey. He graduated from Tift County in 2009, and went on to Valdosta State University where he received a degree in business. He currently is employed at Cooksey Steel.
The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 18, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Tifton.
