Madison Shae Hernandez and Matthew David Chandler were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 5, 2017, at Ponder Chapel, YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hernandez of Americus, Ga., and the groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Chandler of Ringgold, Ga. The ceremony was officiated by Jerome Lubbe, brother-in-law of the groom, of Smyrna, Ga.
The bride was beautifully attired in a strapless satin ballgown with a ruched bodice and sweetheart neckline. The skirt of the gown featured beautiful box pleats with hidden pockets. Satin buttons flowed the full length of the gown’s back to the end of the chapel train.
Her cathedral-length veil flowed from a flower crown of wine and green eucalyptus and baby’s breath and was made by the bride and her mother. The bride’s bouquet was designed by Enchanted Florist and featured a beautiful air plant, a black baccarat rose, cream stock, burgundy ranunculus, white lysmachia, scabiosa pods, sword fern, silver dollar eucalyptus, baby blue eucalyptus, and agonis. The bouquet was wrapped with ivory lace ribbon and navy satin ribbon.
For sentiment, the bride wore the groom’s mother’s engagement ring and watch. The groom wore a locket bearing his parents’ picture attached to his boutonnière of burgundy ranunculus, scabiosa pods, white lysmachia, agonis, and silver dollar eucalyptus. A framed picture of the groom’s parents represented their place in the ceremony.
The bride was attended by her sister, Mallory Hernandez of Americus, Ga., and her best friend, Hannah Tucker of Smyrna, Ga., as maids of honor. Mallory Hernandez wore a floor-length skirt of wine chiffon and a cream top while Hannah Tucker wore a flowing dress of navy blue and wine. The groom was attended by his best friend, Jakin Tatarsky of Norcross, Ga.
The couple honeymooned in Estes Park, Colorado, followed by a road trip home through New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. The couple resides in the Vinings District of Atlanta, Ga.  The bride is owner and lead photographer of Shutterbug Studios and is an art major at Georgia State University. The groom is in the restaurant business and is pursuing a psychology degree at Georgia State University.
