Casey Cagle, the conservative leader for governor, announced today that former state Rep. Mike Cheokas, former state Sen. George Hooks, first lady of the 13th senate district Rosalyn Kirk, and Sheriff Pete Smith will serve as the Sumter County leadership committee for his campaign.
“Having this distinguished group lead our campaign in Sumter County brings even more momentum to our campaign as more and more Georgians across the state come on-board to support our conservative vision for a better Georgia,” Cagle said. “Their leadership will help build our grassroots network in this county and throughout the region, which is critical for sharing our conservative message. I am humbled by their support and excited to work closely with them as we tackle tough issues and create new opportunities for Sumter County.”

“I am proud to support Casey Cagle,” said Rosalyn Kirk. “He truly embodies what a strong, conservative leader should be, and as Governor I know he’ll work hard to ensure Georgia is the best place to live, work, and raise a family. The people of Sumter County can trust that he is the man for the job.”

Cagle is pledging a tax cut for all Georgia taxpayers passed in his first 100 days, a comprehensive 10-year infrastructure plan, and an economic plan that will create 500,000 new jobs in his first term. He has also made workforce development a top priority, and will continue to lead on developing a world-class education system in the state of Georgia.
