AMERICUS — The first Wednesday of October is National Coffee with a Cop Day. Join with thousands of police, sheriff, campus, local and federal law enforcement agencies and have Coffee with a Cop in your community for national “Coffee with a Cop” Day.
The Americus Police Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office are partnering with Madea’s Diner and Bakery, 105 Rucker St., to host this community event here in Americus. The event is from 8-11 a.m. Oct. 4.
Neighbors from Americus and Sumter County are invited to join representatives from state and local law enforcement agencies for a morning of fellowship and conversation. There is no set agenda for the event, just an opportunity to ask questions and meet the men and women who serve and protect our local community. The coffee is free and so is to opportunity for conversation.
