AMERICUS — Mark your calendars, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center hosts its 14^th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk Saturday, Oct. 7. The walk will start and end at Lenny’s Farmer’s Market, located at 110 N. Hampton St., in downtown Americus. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the walk at 9 a.m.

Jannice Beckford, MD, a primary care physician at Phoebe Primary Care & Sports Medicine, will be this year’s keynote speaker. T-shirts for the event are available for purchase at the hospital front desk and start at $10. You do not have to purchase a t-shirt to participate in the walk.
