PLAINS — Madeline Fry Edwards of Plains, Ga., died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017. She was 78.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ray Edwards; stepson Joey Edwards of Plains; stepdaughter Laura Edwards of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother Harold Fry (Linda) of Greer, S.C.; and half-brother Phil Cook (Tammy) of Edgewater, Fla.

Services and burial were private. Anyone wishing to do so may make a memorial contribution to The Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd., Americus GA 31719.
