Rainbow Garden Club decorates downtown for fall
The Ellaville Rainbow Garden Club has really decorated downtown for the fall of the year.
One of the arrangements is in front of City Hall; another is on the corner across the street from the Park beside the church; another is the City Park beside the flag pole and one other is between the DFCS Office and the Schley County Health Department.
Thank you to the Rainbow Garden Club for their special decorations for fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Wildcats have Wall of Fame
There is always something good going on at Schley County Middle/High School.
As you enter the school, there is a new addition on the wall. You will see a Wildcat Wall of Fame that honors graduates for their academic success and for continuing their education.
The Wildcat Wall of Fame consists of class pictures of all students that received scholarships in the past school year. There are 25 students’ pictures on the Wall of Fame.
Congratulations on a job well done.
Historical society says thank you
The Ellaville-Schley County Historical Society thanks everyone who donated items for the auction, as well as all of those who attended.
The winners for the raffles are: the quilt was won by Pam Jamieson; the Ruger .22 Rifle was won by Bobbie Snider; and the 50/50 was won by Chuck Stewart, who donated it back to the auction.
Everyone seemed to have had a good time and enjoyed themselves. The barbecue dinner was really good. We auctioned off homemade cakes.
Thank you, Auction Committee for working so hard and doing such a good job. This includes the kitchen, concession, spotters, auction people showing items as they were called out, the clerk Auctioneer John Greene, and the treasurer.
