Americus-Sumter Boys and Girls Club audit reveals exceptional performance

AMERICUS — At the Furlow Charter School, there was a recent site visit by Dawn Amaker, director of program operations, Georgia State Alliance. Also, there was a site visit by Dionna Smith of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services to the Bill Harris Sr. Boys and Girls Club and the Furlow Charter School Boys and Girls Club.
“Mrs. Dawn Amaker and Mrs. Dionna Smith were very impressed with the site visits at both the Bill Harris Sr. Boys and Girls Club and the Furlow Charter School Boys and Girls Club”, stated Coach Jimmy Green, director of operations. Green also stated that all of the clubs have very good summer and after-school programs.
Past annual audits reveal that in 2014, the Bill Harris Sr. Boys and Girls Club scored 100; in 2015, the Macon County Boys and Girls Club had a score of 99.9; in 2016, the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Boys and Girls Club in Plains had a score of 99.9; and in the 2017, the Furlow Charter School Boys and Girls Club had a score of 99.0.
“I am pleased with our staff members and board of directors for their support and looking forward to all clubs next site visit with all scores reaching a perfect score of 100,” said Green.
