• Firefighters responded to 35 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on West Lamar Street.
• Firefighters responded to Sun Valley Drive to a report of heavy smoke in the area. They found someone grilling outside.
• Firefighters responded to Mary Street to a report on a tree on power lines. The found a medium-sized limb had fallen between two houses and was on top of power and cable lobes. Georgia Power was notified.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Davenport Street. There were no hazards; the alarm was activated by cooking.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Industrial Boulevard and Learning Lane.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Mayo and Walker streets.
• Firefighters responded to North Jackson Street to a structure fire.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on William B. King Drive. They found alarm had been activated by someone using the microwave oven.
• Firefighters responded to South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to a report of smoke coming from under a nearby bridge. They found a train starting its engine.
• Firefighters responded to Hometown Medical Inc., 231 W. Lamar St. to a report of an odor. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to Park Row for smoke removal. On arrival, they found no smoke or fire. The owner said when she turned on her a/c unit she smelled an odor of burned rubber. Upon examination, it was determined the compressor was not working and the owner was advised to contact an electrician.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Rent-a-Center, 105 Prince St. It was an accidental activation by an employee.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Strife Street. It was activated by a child.
• Firefighters responded to Crawford Street to a report of wires hanging in the roadway. They found a cable line hanging beside the roadway and contacted the cable company.
• Firefighters responded to East Church Street to a report of a tree in the roadway. They found a moderate-sized tree lying across the roadway, and removed it.
• Firefighters responded to Cherokee Street to an illegal trash fire. The found a fire in the parking area and used water to extinguish it. They notified the Americus Police Department.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at South Lee and East Hill streets.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on South Hampton Street. No hazards were found. The fire marshal met with maintenance personnel.
• Firefighters went to Sharon Circle to assist an occupant with a smoke detector. They replaced it with a new one.
• Firefighters responded to Rees Park to a report of a truck on fire. As they were extinguishing the fire, the truck started to roll into the street. They used equipment to prevent this.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on South Hampton Street. It was a malfunctioning alarm.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Tripp Street.
• Firefighters responded to Horton Drive to a report of a structure fire. They found a pot on fire inside the oven which they extinguished.
• Firefighters responded to Lafayette Street to a report of a vehicle fire. They found what appeared to be a work truck with heavy fire coming from the engine compartment, and they extinguished it.
• Firefighters responded to Woodland Avenue to a power line down. They found a power pole that was rotten at the base and a power line in the roadway. They notified Georgia Power.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Bumphead Road.
• Firefighters responded to a burn complaint at Rucker Street and North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard where they found a small fire in a metal 55-gallon drum, which they extinguished.
• Firefighters responded to an outside fire on Cherokee Street where they found small rubbish fire, which they extinguished.

• Firefighters responded to 13 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a grass fire caused by a power line arcing on the ground on Ga. Highway 49 South.
• Firefighters responded to Flintside Drive to a report of a structure fire. They found an a/c fan motor and wires had burned.
• Firefighters responded to Tallent Store Road to a grass fire.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Davenport Street in Americus. There was no fire.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at District Line and Middle River roads.
