AMERICUS — Virginia Marie Hodges, 97, of Americus died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 201,7 at her home. A native of St. Louis, Mo., she was born Oct. 21, 1920, to the late Joseph Boyle and Dora Hessler Boyle. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, and graduated with a graphic arts design degree from Washington State University.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at St. John’s Anglican Church in Americus. Father Jim Parker will officiate the service and burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her three daughters: Leslie Marie Hodges and Daniel Waggner of Atlanta, Tina Marie Hodges Lane and Mike Lane of Atlanta, and Virginia Marie Hodges Orr and Dale Orr of Americus; a son, Brown Creighton Hodges Jr. of Americus; a granddaughter, Margaret Alicia Carter Walker and David Walker; and a great-grandchild, Irie Carter.
