Businesses throughout downtown will be decked out in their finest holiday decorations to welcome the host of people expected to drop by and check out Christmas gift options, have refreshments, or take a leisurely stroll through Americus’ historic downtown and enjoy some holiday cheer. There will be chestnuts roasting on an open fire in front of Center Stage Market. There will also be free trolley rides sponsored by Americus Main Street.
Mobile Glassblowing Studios will be glassblowing into ice. The Americus Welcome Center will have holiday cider and stocking stuffers, while The Maze will host its $5 Friday Sale. Stop by the Rylander Theatre for a Carol Sing featuring area church and civic choirs performing carols for the audience to sing along with as well as traditional holiday favorites. Several other businesses will be open with discounts and sales for the Christmas season.
Santa Claus, himself, will arrive at 6 p.m. and will be visiting downtown businesses and spreading the holiday cheer!
