Armed robbery suspect arrested

AMERICUS — The Americus Police Department released the following Friday afternoon.
At around 9:30 p.m. Nov. 21, police responded to the Dollar General Store at 1408 E. Forsyth St., in the Perlis Plaza, to the report of an armed robbery.
Following an investigation, warrants were issued on Nov. 27 for Reginald Jamal Fench, 42, 817 Mayo St. Fench was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault, and was jailed at the Sumter County Jail.
