Hurricanes

Students in Amy Benton’s seventh-grade STEM class at Southland Academy has been studying the engineering behind building a hurricane-safe building. The groups had to construct a hurricane safe house with household products, and used a blow dryer on high speed to simulate the high winds in a hurricane.
