Moving memorial to stop in Americus

AMERICUS — The Georgia Law Enforcement Moving Memorial, sponsored by the Georgia Police Memorial Ride, will on display, beginning at 2 p.m., on Dec. 7 in front of the Sumter County Courthouse.
The moving memorial contains the names of all Georgia law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty. The community is encouraged to stop by the courthouse Thursday, Dec. 7 to view the memorial and reflect on the sacrifice made by the valiant men and women who gave their all in service to their community.
The memorial will also participate in the annual Christmas Parade through downtown Americus starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 7.
