Southland Academy K3 students recently enjoyed STEAM activities. The students learned about magnets and how they work. They were also introduced to gases and how certain gases can make things expand. The students really enjoyed the demonstrations of expansion using a balloon with baking soda in it and a water bottle with vinegar in it. They were amazed to see what happens when the baking soda mixes with the vinegar. The students had fun with the kinesthetic learning. Shown are Cindy Cromer with her K3 students enjoying science.
