AMERICUS
Community Christmas
The annual Open Hands Community Christmas Dinner is served at noon Monday, Christmas Day at First United Methodist Church, 200 S. Lee St. Dine in and enjoy fellowship while celebrating Christmas. Carry-outs will be available if food remains after all have been served. Shut-ins may call 924-7072 or 591-6509 to arrange for delivery. Teresa Mansfield will give out free children’s books after the dinner.

Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church
The church celebrates the birth of Christ with Christmas Day Worship Services at 10 a.m.  Dec. 25, with Bishop Melvin McCluster, pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Americus, delivering the sermon. The community is invited.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
Youth Revival services are at 7 p.m. Jan. 30 and 31. On Tuesday, Freedom Harvest Church of Leslie is in charge with Minister Sonya Deriso bringing the message and music by Freedom Harvest Choir. On Wednesday, Spring Creek Baptist Church of Leslie is in charge with Pastor Travis Rush bringing the word and music by Spring Creek Baptist Church Choir. The public is invited.

Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church
The worship service on Dec. 24 begins at 8 a.m.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church
The service is cancelled for Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

Salem United Methodist Church
The Mark Trammell Quartet, one of America’s best and best known gospel quartets, will be in concert from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 30. Trammell has been voted Favorite Baritone Singer eight times including the last three years and is on the board of the National Quartet Convention. He is also a Baptist preacher. A love offering will be taken.

Kingdom of Heaven Ministries Inc.
An Apostolic Thrust Revival is at 7 p.m. Jan. 17-19 featuring Apostles David Holt, Leroyal Edmonson and Nykiki Jelks in consecutive nights.

ELLAVILLE
William Grove Baptist Church
The Sunday, Dec. 24 worship service is at 9 a.m.
Watch Night Service starts at 10 p.m. Dec. 31.The public is invited.

PLAINS
Bethlehem Baptist Church
A Deacon Ordination Service for Jesse Durham Sr. is at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 31. Pastor O. Quintodd Bryant delivers the message.

Lebanon Baptist Church
Worship services are at 9 a.m. Dec. 24 with the Rev. Hosie Waters presiding.
Watch Night Services start at 10 p.m. Dec. 31 with the following ministers on the program: the Rev. Travis Rush of Spring Creek Baptist Church, the Rev Curtis Iverson of Daniel Grove Baptist Church, and Lebanon’s own the Rev. Hosie Waters. The community is welcome.
