AMERICUS — With new leadership in place at SB&T Bank, President Buddy Guth met with members of the One Sumter Economic Development Foundation Inc. to confirm Synovus’ continued commitment to the economic growth and success Guth and members of his leadership team, Tami Duke and Patricia Whitaker, presented the board of directors with the annual donation in July, thanking the organization for its work in the community and support of business and industry.
Lauding One Sumter’s economic development efforts and focus on the ongoing initiative to establish a college and career academy, Guth expressed his appreciation for the foundation’s emphasis on improving work-based learning opportunities for all of Sumter County’s youth, and in turn, strengthening the quality of the workforce and vitality of the business sector.
