TACOMA, Wash. — Dolly Fletcher Shaughnessy was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Americus, Ga., and died Dec. 26, 2017 in Tacoma, Wash.

She married Oct. 24, 1944, to Edward A Shaughnessy. She was predeceased by her husband, her daughter Sandra Cates, grandson Jason Shaughnessy, great-grandson Kyle Peruzzi and great-great-granddaughter Kylie Nimmich.

She will be missed by her brothers Milton and Ray Fletcher, sons James E. and David A. Shaughnessy, 11  grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and her close friends from the Lakewood Senior Center. and countless others.

There will be no service at her request.
