AMERICUS — Carrie Sierra Roque, 71, died on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 30, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, in Americus, Georgia. She was born on Jan. 17, 1946, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Peter Sierra and Nina Leon.

Carrie is preceded in death by both of her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Roque; two sons, Ralph (Evie) Roque Jr. of Tampa, Florida, Randy (Michelle) Roque of Tampa, Florida; two grandchildren, Christene Roque, Shannon Roque; one great-grandchild, Cay Lex; and six brothers, Angel Benitez, Nichols Benitez, Peter Sierra, Danny Benitez, Albert Sierra, Rene Benitez.

Carrie and her husband moved from Tampa, Florida, to the Parrott, Georgia, area about eight years ago. She was a member of the Faith Outreach, which is a nondenominational church organization. Carrie worked as a self-employed hairdresser.

 

A Memorial Service will be planned by the family at a later date.
