Phoebe Sumter welcomes 1st baby of 2018

AMERICUS — Phoebe Sumter Medical Center welcomed its first baby of the New Year 2018. Jacob Andrew Cripe was born at 8:20 a.m. Jan. 4, weighing in at 8 pounds and was 20.5 inches long. His parents, Anthony and Danielle Cripe, of Americus, are thrilled. Staff at Phoebe Sumter presented Jacob and his parents with a gift and a plaque in celebration of being the first baby born in the New Year at the hospital. Jacob is pictured with mother Danielle, father Anthony, and two year-old brother Emmett.
