AMERICUS
Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
Youth Revival services are at 7 p.m. Jan. 30 and 31. Tuesday’s speaker is Minister Travis Rush with music Spring Creek Baptist Church Choir. Wednesday’s speaker is Minister LaSondra Swain with music by Freedom Harvest Church Choir. The public invited.

Salem United Methodist Church
Revival services are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 21, noon and 7 p.m. Jan. 22 and 23. Guest speaker is Dr. Alex McFarland of North Carolina. Nursery provided for evening services. For information call 229-942-8432.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church
The service times have changed. The first Sunday worship service starts at 11 a.m. and the third Sunday’s starts at 9:30 a.m.

Healing Temple Ministries
The Anointed Voices of Americus observe their 12th Anniversary at 4 p.m. Jan. 21 with special guests from Phenix City, Ala., Bryant Lowder and Redemption. Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church
The pre-anniversary celebration of praise and worship starts at 5 p.m. Jan. 20. This event will initiate the first phase of joining us in celebrating the service we have been receiving from Pastor George Frank Monts Jr. and first lady Debra Monts for the past 17 years. The public is invited.

Big Bethel Baptist Church
Newly called pastor, the Rev. Willie Edward Walker, is installed at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 28. The Rev. Lorenza Mullis and Antioch Baptist Church of DeSoto are in charge. The public is invited.

Women Deliverance Ministry

PLAINS
Maranatha Baptist Church
Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter plans to begin reducing his Sunday School teaching schedule, but will continue teaching for a few more months. As usual his teaching schedule will be posted on the Maranatha Baptist Church website(http://www.mbcplains.org/). He and Rosalynn Carter will continue to attend Sunday School and church at Maranatha when they are in town, and will still welcome visitors and have photographs with those who attend.

Lebanon Baptist Church
The Christian Family Cluster Circle hosts a Valentine Extravaganza for adults at 7 p.m. Feb. 9 in the church Fellowship Hall. Representatives from Innovative Senior Solutions, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and the Sumter County Department Family and Children Services will be present. The young at heart in the surrounding community are invited.
