AMERICUS — The Georgia Department of Transportation is scheduled to close South Georgia Tech Parkway near the railroad crossing west of the South Georgia Technical College Americus campus beginning Feb. 8 through Feb, 22, due to construction.
Basket Factory Road has been established as the alternate by-pass around the railroad crossing. Basket Factory Road is the first road on the left beyond Transportation Drive, or the college’s last entrance closest to the railroad tracks.
Basket Factory Road can also be accessed at the Americus Bean Co. building from Southerfield Road.
