AMERICUS — Rose Harris Ansley, 86, of Americus died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Perfect Care. A native of Marion County, she was born June 27, 1931, to the late Page Harris and Pearl D. Harris. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. As the first local female realtor, she owned and operated Rose Ansley Realty for over 20 years. She was an avid bowler, holding the Georgia title for the highest female single game score, 289, for many years.

All services will be private.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Ansley Harris and Dow Harris of Americus; son and daughter-in-law, Ray Bruce Ansley III and Vanessa Ansley of Miami, Fla.; two grandchildren: Des Harris III and his wife Shea of Camilla; and Dannah Harris Adams and her husband Miles of Auburn, Ala. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren: Tristen Harris, Tyler Harris, Taylor Harris, Perry Fears, Weston Fears, Annalee Adams, and Harris Adams; a sister-in-law, Martha Ansley Brown of Americus; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved sitters: Shelly Walker, Emily Banks, and Jessica Ferguson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ray Bruce Ansley Jr.
