ALBANY —  Mr. George “Buster” Joiner Jr., died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Dennis Jones, Griffin Attaberry, and Wes Baldwin officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg, Ga., with Braxton Jones, Jeb Forrest Jones, W.C. Yates, Hubert Stafford, Craig Huntley, Mitchell Comerford, and Rory Attaberry serving as active pall bearers. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Mr. Joiner was a member of Bainbridge Church of Christ. He graduated from UGA in 1961, with honors, was a member of the Army National Guard, and owner of Georgia Music Service.

He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Joiner of Colquitt, Ga.; one son, George E. (Jo Ann) Joiner of Colquitt, Ga.; two daughters, Karen (Dennis) Jones of Ellaville, Ga., and Kimberly (Griffin) Attaberry of Monticello, Ga.; five grandchildren, Braxton Jones, Jeb Forrest Jones, Rebecca Joiner, Rachel Joiner, and Rory Attaberry; and two brothers, Frank (Carolyn) Joiner of Americus, Ga., and Lee Joiner of Americus, Ga. Mr. Joiner was preceded in death by his parents, George Howard and Sara Cannon Joiner Sr., and one brother, Jerry Joiner.

Flowers will be accepted or make donations to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
