VALDOSTA – The Southland Lady Raiders wasted no time in taking control of the game early and never looking back and their way to a 52-14 route over Valwood.

The Lady Raiders were led in scoring by Cassi Bass with 11 points. Macy Williams scored nine points, Maddie Crisp had eight and Kathleen Kinslow chipped in five points in the winning cause.

“We shot the ball really well and put the game away by halftime”, Southland Head Coach Ty Kinslow said. “I’m very proud of the overall effort and team play of all the girls.”

The Lady Raiders (19-3, 7-0) will close out their regular season at home on Senior Night Friday, February 9, against Brookwood. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Once the regular season is over, the Lady Raiders will turn their attention to the region tournament at the GSW Storm Dome next Thursday and Friday, February 15-16.
