O’FALLON, Mo. — Air Evac Lifeteam completed it move from Cordele to Americus, and is now in service at its new facility on the campus of Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.
Chase Lott, program director for the Americus base, said he is happy to be a part of the community.
“We look forward to serving the citizens of Americus and the surrounding communities for many years to come,” he said.
Brandi Lunneborg, chief executive officer of Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, welcomed Air Evac Lifeteam to the community in October at the ground breaking ceremony.
“We are delighted to see the facility come to fruition,” she said. “This partnership ensures citizens of this region the quickest response time of air ambulances’ services, thus improving access to lifesaving emergency care.”
Robbie Latimore, Ed.D., Phoebe Sumter Medical Center board chair, said her goal is to ensure that area citizens have access to quality care in Americus.
“We are indeed very fortunate to have air ambulances – quite literally in our own backyard – whose speed and technology help safely transport our most critically ill and injured patients.”
