AMERICUS — One of the goals of the Harvest of Hope Food Pantry in Americus is that no one go hungry. It has ministered to thousands of people in need of a helping hand during the last few years, and continues to do so with the help of selfless volunteers, and funding from churches and individuals and food from various donors such as Food Lion and Minor Farms, among others.
While the pantry continues its generous service and ministry to the community, it is always in need of more funding and more volunteers.
Harvest of Hope is sponsoring a fundraiser, a Painting Party, in March.
The event, to be from 5-7 p.m. March 15 at Hunter Frames and Artist Studio, 115 N. Jackson St., downtown, will be open to the public for $50 per person. Participants are asked to bring their own clean terra cotta or metal container to paint. The class will be limited to 20 painters, so call 229-938-0537 or email hunterframes@gmail.com to reserve your space. Deadline for registration is March 8.
