Schley County’s Hart-Williamson and Register win weightlifting state championship

LOUISVILLE, GA – The Schley County Boys Weightlifting Team had an excellent showing at the State Single A Weightlifting Championships held Saturday, March 3, at Jefferson County High School in Louisville, GA.

Both Jakim Hart-Williamson and Peyton Register earned state championships in their respective weight classes. The meet consisted of Bench Press and Power Clean categories. There were 10 weight classes. Schley County scored a total of 54.5 points, finishing in second place behind Mt. Zion, who had 63 points.

Here are the final results of the Schley County weightlifters:

Below 140-lb.  Silas Mygrant: fifth place

Landon Dailey: fourth place

141-150 lb.      Peyton Register: State Champion

Ja’Myron Clayton: fifth place

151-160 lb.      Lucas Sellers: fifth place

161-170-lb.     Tyler Vickery: fifth place

Christian Bivins: fourth place

171-180-lb.      Daniel Reese: sixth place

191-205-lb.      Quantavious Clark: fourth place

206-225-lb.      Zavian Solomon: fifth place

226-245-lb.      Zykevious Walker: fifth place

246-lb.-Unlimited    Wade Montgomery: third place
