On Feb. 27, Sumter County Intermediate School held a Sizzling, Sensational, Scientific Night for students and parents. The school has a parent night each month with a specific focus, and this month the focus was science. At the meeting teachers, parents and students had fun doing science experiments together. The experiments were chosen based on the standards that are being covered for each grade level. Shown here is Mary Moncus finishing an experiment with static electricity.
