AMERICUS — Southland Academy announces the 30th annual Miss SAR Pageant Contestants.
The seniors in this year’s pageant include Karleigh Werling, daughter of John and Karen Werling of Americus; Karson Duke, daughter of Dr. Ray and April Duke of Americus; Bailey James, daughter of Hope Jones of Preston and Scott James of Richland; and Olivia Perry, daughter of Mac and Barbara Perry of Leslie.
Juniors include Deep Patel, daughter of Shailesh and Sneha Patel of Americus; Anslee Barnes, daughter of Russ and Jarret Barnes of Americus; Mary Catherine Dean, daughter of John and Tiffany Dean of Americus; and Scout Davis, daughter of John Davis and Jennifer Peebles of Vienna.
The pageant is held each year as a fundraiser for the school’s scholarship funds.
This year’s pageant will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 23 at the Melvin T. Kinslow Gymnatorium at Southland Academy. A silent auction will be held in conjunction with the pageant. The public is invited to attend, and tickets are available at the school office and Clinic Drug Store.
