AMERICUS — Mrs. Peggy Ann Cromer Clayton, 63, of Americus passed away Friday morning,  March 23, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. The Rev. William Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 26 at Aldridge Funeral Services. The following are asked to serve as active pallbearers: Joe Melton, Dustin Avery, Charlie Bishop, Will Bishop, Chip Obarr and Chris Flick. The family is receiving friends at other times at 702 Sunny Dale Circle in Americus.

Peggy Ann Clayton was born May 7, 1954, in Thomaston, Ga., daughter of the late Marvin Pierce Cromer and the late Louell Roberts Cromer. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Faith Baptist Church in Americus.

Survivors include her husband Hollis Darrel Clayton of Americus; two daughters Wendy Lynn Clayton (Chris Flick) of Americus and Kim Clayton of Illinois; two sons and daughter-in-law Mark Robinson (Mary) and William Warren of North Carolina; four sisters Zelma Melton (Steve), Linda Harden (Jimmy), Ann Cook (George), all of Americus, and Mary Francis Krause of Lakeland Fla..; a brother, Leon Langley of Albany; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
