AMERICUS
Christians On a Mission Deliverance Center
The Pastor, Prophetess Helen Mercer’s, 19th appreciation celebration is held during March. The celebration culminates at 9:45 a.m. March 25 with Dr. Timothy Miller and Majestic Kingdom Embassy, Camilla.

St. Andrews Presbyterian Church
A Maundy Thursday service is a somber worship service that gives special attention to the rejection and suffering of Christ in the week leading up to His ultimate rejection and suffering on the cross. The word “maundy” is Latin for “command.” On the Thursday night before His crucifixion, Christ gave a “new command” when He implemented the practice of Communion at the Last Supper. Therefore, Communion is observed at this service from 6-7 p.m. March 29.

Piney Grove No. 3  Baptist Church
The church choir celebrate its 47th anniversary at 3 p.m. April 8. Community choirs are asked to render at least two selections. The public is invited.

Butterflies in Flight Ministries Inc.
“Iron Sharpens Iron” Women Conference 2018 is at 7 p.m. April 5-7 at 311 Rees St. Men are also welcome) featuring Five-Fold Ministry Gifts with various apostles, prophetesses, evangelists and teachers. Registration is $20 for all three nights. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Seating is limited.

Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
Special services are planned form 6 p.m. March 28 (Bible Study), 7 p.m. March 29 (Maundy Thursday service), 7 p.m. March 30 (Good Friday service), and 10:30 a.m. April 1 (Easter service). Everyone is welcome.

Good News Ministries
The Annual Survivors’ Luncheon is March 24. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with lunch at noon. This luncheon is held to honor cancer survivors and one guest in Sumter County and surrounding counties. Daniel Grove Baptist Church
The Mission and Ushers’ Anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. May 20. Everyone is invited.

Deliverance Tabernacle Inc.
Resurrection Celebration is from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 1 at Boone Park, 408 Rucker St.  Come out and receive a word from the Lord, and receive prayer and support from local ministers. Activities include water slides for the kids, an Easter egg hunt and games. Enjoy free food and refreshments.

Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church
A Deacon & Deaconess Program is observed during the 11 a.m. worship service on March 25. Everyone is invited.

The Southwest Georgia Missionary Baptist Association
A youth workshop convenes at 10 a.m. March 24 at the church, 1213 Douglas Circle.

ELLAVILLE
William Grove Baptist Church
The Women’s Ministry holds its annual Women’s Day Celebration beginning with a Women’s Day Bunch at 11 a.m. March 24 with Sister Kim Clemons Grigley as guest speaker. The celebration culminates at 11 a.m. March 25 with Pastor Vera Holt of New Life Temple of Deliverance Ministries bringing the message. The public is invited.
A Resurrection (Easter) Service starts at 9 a.m. April 1, followed by an Easter program. The public is invited.

LESLIE
New Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church
Family & Friends Day is celebrated March 25. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11. Everyone is invited.

Perry Grove Baptist Church
Annual revival services are at 7:30 p.m. March 26-29 with Pastor Horace Holloway III of Thomasville as speaker.

PLAINS
Lebanon Baptist Church
The Senior Choir celebrates its anniversary at 11 a.m. March 25 with the Rev.  Hosie Waters presiding. The surrounding community is invited.

SMITHVILLE
New Hope A.M.E. Church
A Faith Revival is celebrated at 7 p.m. May 14-16 with the following speakers: Monday, the Rev. Michael Edge; Tuesday, the Rev. Napoleon Cooper; and Wednesday, the Rev. Ronrica Gordon.
At 11 a.m. May 20 Youth Day is celebrated with a guest speaker.
