The Sumter County Middle School Student of the Month celebration was held March 29. Each homeroom teacher selected a student and provided a written description of why he or she chose that student. Students received a certificate along with a Sumter County Middle School memento cup. Students and their guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast of sausage, grits, eggs, toast, and juice. Seventh-grade students are: Alanna Rodriguez, Sidney Hanks, Eder Cuevas Morgan, Quatavious Hall, Keeya Little, Ashana Upshaw, Willie Ballard, Ja’Niya Thomas, Angel Daniels, Saige Wakefield, Deshaila Hill, Christopher Johnson, and Alquiana Terry. Eighth-grade students are: Alailah Willis, Kaylin Holley, Jamecia Pride, Jaelyn Golden, Quinton Moore, Me’Nyia King, Shatoria Sumlin, Teigan Pepito, Karen Mejia, Ty’tiona Nelson, Travis Mansfield, and Melanie Vinavong.
