ST. SIMON’S ISLAND, GA – The Southland Academy Baseball Team was looking forward to playing two games against Bethlehem Christian and Terrell Academy as part of a tournament at Frederica Academy on St. Simon’s Island. They were scheduled to play Bethlehem Christian on Friday, April 6 and Terrell Academy on Saturday, April 7.

They were actually able to get the game against Bethlehem Christian underway. However, with the two teams tied 4-4, the rains came, and it was decided that the game should be called. Not only was that game called, but the rest of the tournament as well.

The Raiders will resume region play on Tuesday, April 10, when they travel to Chula, GA to take on Tiftarea Academy. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
