Americus-Sumter High School recently held its ‘Student of the Month’ celebration for February. Seven faculty members from the social studies department each chose one student to be recognized during a brunch hosted in the ASHS library. Principal Kimothy Hadley presented each student with a plaque, a ‘Panthers’ water bottle, and a gift certificate from Krystal in Americus. Hadley praised each student individually, followed by a few comments from each student’s nominating teacher. After the ceremony participants enjoyed refreshments and a chance to mingle with parents, friends, and faculty.
