AMERICUS — Phoebe Sumter Medical Center announces that Evelyn Braxton, star of WE TV’s Braxton Family Values, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Women’s Health Fair. Braxton will discuss her personal struggles with hopes of inspiring other women and letting them know that they are capable of bouncing back from or adjusting to challenges.
Braxton was not only a full-time mother but a pastor and her children’s singing coach. Due to personal struggles that Braxton had to overcome, she embarked on a new passion — life coaching. She also started an organization, “God Can Heal the Heart,” a self-empowering mentorship that helps encourage, motivate and support other men and women who have been through personal trauma.
The Women’s Health Fair is free and will be held from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at the Georgia Southwestern State University Student Success Center. For information, call 229-931-6812.
