AMERICUS — The second annual Hot Glass/Craft Beer Festival, held April 7 in downtown Americus, was a huge success. With the weather cooperating for the most part, a good cloud cover provided cool temperatures for tasting great beers and watching 30 glassblowers from all over the country plying their craft.
Approximately 2,000 people attended this year, enjoying beer, glassblowing demonstrations, live music, food vendors, silent auctions, and fun. When the occasional shower fell, the crowds just gathered under the tents scattered about until it stopped.
he event is an Americus Main Street project spoonsored by Mobile Glassblowing Studios as the presenting sponsor, as well as The Huss Foundation, the Americus Times-Recorder, Hardee’s, Shiver Lumber Co., Arnold & Hooks LLC, Georgia Southwestern State University,  PharmaCentra, Pinnell’s Clinic Drug Store, Cafe Campesino,
