Lois D. DeVane: April 21, 2018

AMERICUS — Mrs. Lois Dairlene DeVane, age 91, of Americus, died on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Perfect Care. Mrs. DeVane was a native of Schley County, born the daughter of the late Thomas and Berta Benford. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, the Americus Civitan Club, Sumter Civic Fair Association, and was a volunteer for the Rylander Theatre.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hugh DeLoach and Dr. Bryan Myers officiating, with burial in Andersonville National Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. DeVane is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Ron Ridgeway, of Atlanta, Ga., and Becky and Dick Raney, of Brookhaven, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Susan Deriso of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Douglas Holloway and Beth, of Leslie, Ga.; and one stepson Bill and Vanessa DeVane, of Swainsboro, Ga. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Amber Hagood, Nathan Ridgeway, Matthew C. Morris, Melissa K. Morris, Kari Holloway, Tyler Hunt, Rebecca Wood, Cason DeVane, David Deriso, and Natalie Murphy, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Max Edgar DeVane.
