Bike Safety Month means signs go back up

AMERICUS – Sumter Cycling would like to encourage people around town to join bicycle advocates in educating people on the “Three Feet to Pass” law. Those who still have their yellow signs are encouraged to display them during the month of May so that the people of Americus will be made aware of this law.

Bicycle enthusiast are encouraged to take part in Sumter Cycling’s first ride in May this Saturday, May 5. Coffee and muffins will be served at the end of the ride.

Sumter Cycling would also like to invite riders to join them on Saturday, May 5, for their first Saturday ride of the month. The ride will depart from the Christian Student Center on Felder St. at 9 a.m. with 12 and 20 mile options. After the ride is completed, riders can enjoy coffee and muffins.
