Ellaville Methodist Church Choir sings for Perfect Care
The evening of May 3, the Ellaville United Methodist Church Choir visited Perfect Care in Americus to sing to the residents. Those that participated were Judy McClellan, Alan Schultz, Olivia Mallichek, Sharon Wall and choir director, Mary Nan Pilcher.

Ellaville Methodist Church Circle meets
On May 7, the Ellaville United Methodist Church Circle met in the church Social Hall.
President Sharon Wall called the meeting to order, with Nora Morrow offering prayer. Ann Gill gave the secretary’s report.
Carlyn Kirby, host, served delicious peach cobbler and coffee.
Others present were Brenda Phillips and Nancy McMath Young.

Ginger Orton receives special honors from ABAC
Ginger Orton of Ellaville received recognition during the recent Honors Day Program at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton.
Twenty special awards were presented to ABAC students who excelled in their individual discipline. Ginger received an award in the ABAC School of Arts and Sciences. She received a degree in agriculture communications.
Ginger is the daughter of Bob and Laura Orton of Ellaville.

A Macy-Grace Piano Studio holds recital
At 2 p.m. Sunday May 6, A Macy-Grace Piano Studio held its annual recital at Ellaville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jonathan Beckum opened with prayer, and Mary Nan Pilcher, teacher, welcomed everyone.
The following students were on the program.
Cheryl Harbuck played “You Light Up My Life.”
Dylan Wall played “November Rain.”
Tristian Yanez performed “All of Me.”
Whitney Register performed “Over The Rainbow.”
Jillian Westbury played “Theme from Love Story.”
Sandra McDaniel played “Till The Storm Passes By.”
Austin Griggs performed “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and “The Star Spangled Banner.”
Ryder Dean Garner performed “H.O.L.Y.”
Mary Kate Still played “Your My Sunshine” and “Heart and Soul.”
Tillary Tyler played “Shenandoah” and “Sweet Hour of Prayer.”
Maelyn Anthony performed “The Ocean.”
Liberty Justice performed “Standing in the Need of Prayer” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo.”
Macy Hall played “Speak Softly,” “Love,” “Scarborough Fair” and “The Sound of Silence Medley.”
After the recital, Mrs. Pilcher presented all of her students with a bronze piano medallion and certificate.
Maelyn Anthony received a Gold 5 on her certificate, indicating that she has taken piano lessons with Mrs. Pilcher for five years.
After the recital, Mrs. Pilcher invited everyone to a lovely reception in the church Social Hall.
The tables were covered with white linen table cloths with a replica of a baby grand piano a black linen cloth as centerpieces. Silver trays and cut glass platters held the tiny cupcakes decorated with multi-colored roses. The punch bowl sat on the end of the serving table.
