Suspect wanted in armed robbery

AMERICUS — The Americus Police has made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery occurring around 9:40 p.m. Friday in which a citizen was robbed at gunpoint in a parking lot located in the 100 block of South Hampton Street in Americus. There were no injuries during the robbery.

A 15-year-old has been taken into custody and charged with armed robbery, financial transaction card forgery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The juvenile was transported to the Crisp County Regional Youth Detention Center.

Warrants have been issued for a second subject, 18-year-old Antavious Montrell Leverette who is being sought in connection with this robbery.
