AMERICUS — Mrs. Judy Martin. age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church, 846 Lane Store Road, Americus, Ga. The Rev. Steve Golden, the Rev. Chet Ragsdale and the Rev. Charles Stoops will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Judy Martin was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Tifton, Ga., daughter of the late Arthur Lott Ross and the late Dollie Conger Ross. Mrs. Martin was a retired school teacher and homemaker. She was an aerobics instructor at Magnolia Manor. Mrs. Martin was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Willard Bradley “Muff” Martin of Americus; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ross Martin (Susan) of Suwanee, Ga., and Roy Martin (Lisa) of Cobb, Ga.

Three grandchildren Bradley Martin of Suwanee, Ga., Shelley Merrill (Brandon) of Columbia, Mo., and Elliott Coffee (Ellis) of Jeffersonville Ind.; a great-granddaughter Amelia Lane Merrill; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Hill and Marilyn Brock, and a brother Buddy Ross.
