AMERICUS – Americus-Sumter Quarterback Kierston Harvey has been selected to compete alongside elite prospects from 32 states in the Blue-Grey Super Combine. Harvey’s selection was based on his previous performance at a regional Blue-Grey sports event held in Atlanta on Saturday, May 12, at Maynard H. Jackson High School. The invite to the Blue-Grey Super Combine was also based on his performance throughout the 2016-17 season. During his regional combine, athletes were tested on their 40-yard times, bench press, standing broad jump and 20-yard shuttle run. At the Super Combine weekend, athletes will be tested on the same skill tests that were done at the regional combine. Competitors were given the opportunity to attend one of five camps held at different sites around the country: AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, Daytona Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Redskins training facility in Richmond, Virginia, the Philadelphia Eagles training facility in Philadelphia and the Foothills Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado.

All five super combines will be delayed streamed nationally by the Impact Football Network (IFN). Last year, 630 prospects competed at the super combines and 385 of them ended up signing a football scholarship in their senior year. Kierston Harvey has chosen to compete at the Redskins training facility in Richmond, Virginia to be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 23-24.

In addition to the competition itself, Harvey will be attending a media dinner for prospects, their parents, staff and media at the Redskins Training Center and will also participate in a national video interview. National media outlets, such as 24/7 Sports, USA Today, Rivals and the Impact Football Network will be in attendance.

Participants are required to wear a dress shirt, tie and dress pants for photos and videos that will be taken of them as an All-American candidate for national announcements.

Players will have the opportunity to meet All-American Bowl Game coaches. Each super combine and media dinner will be streamed for college recruiting purposes via the Impact Football Network. This two-day event featuring High School All-American candidates will serve as a pool to select the squads to compete in one of the four Blue-Grey All-American Bowl Games. These games will be nationally televised on the Impact Football Network and ESPN3.

Two of the games will be played at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, and Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There will be a third game to be played at a site to be announced at a later time.

Super Combine prospects will comprise 75 percent of each team. Prospects who participate in this event will be closer to having their dreams of playing college football realized.
