Anne A. Dorman: June 22, 2018

Anne Anthony Dorman, a resident of Inlet Beach, Florida, passed away June 22, 2018, at the age of 67. She was born Dec. 4, 1950, to Ralph and Adelaide Anthony Dorman.

Ms. Dorman was a native of Cordele, Georgia, and graduate of South Georgia Tech in Americus, Georgia. She retired from a lengthy career at the James Earl Carter Library at Georgia’s Southwestern State University in Americus. Anne’s hobbies included decorating, flowers, keeping in touch with her Georgia friends and Forever BFF’s on social media. Beach life at Inlet Beach, with all it had to offer, was an enjoyment for Anne. Over the last several years, she had fun adorning her beach home, making sure it looked just right.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Adelaide Dorman; two sisters, Rita Adams and Portia Ray; and a niece Laura Leigh Gordon.

Ms. Dorman is survived by two nieces, Angela (David) Ellis of Cumming, Georgia, and Meg (Brad) Ramey of Suwanee, Georgia; great-nieces, Meganne Ellis of Atlanta, Georgia, Emily Kay Ellis of Cumming, Georgia, and Ali and Maddie Ramey of Suwanee, Georgia; and one great-nephew, Flint Helms of Cobb, Georgia, all who lovingly named her, “Annie Pannie;” and a lifelong friend, Gwen Creswell of Inlet Beach, Florida.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home and Crematory of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, with services under the direction of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home of Cordele, Georgia.

A time of visitation will be held beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Hughes & Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Cordele, Georgia, with services following at 3 p.m.
