This tractor-trailer overturned on Ga. Highway 49 North near Airport Road shortly before noon Tuesday. The driver, attempting to pass a vehicle, failed to see another vehicle in the left lane slowing to turn, swerved to avoid striking that vehicle and ended up in the ditch overturned. The truck was hauling wood chips. Georgia State Patrol Post 10 Trooper Bryan Joiner said the driver sustained minor injuries and was taken by EMS to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.
