AMERICUS
Perry Grove Baptist Church
The church’s 89th Anniversary is observed during the 11 a.m. worship service July 15. Sunday school starts at 10 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Fellowship Baptist Church
Vacation Bible School is July 9-13. Children from Preschool through Grade 6 meet from 9-11:30 a.m. Youth in Grades 7 and up, as well as adults, meet 7-8:30 p.m. Theme is “Peace Lab.”

Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
Lay Day is observed at 10:30 a.m. July 8 when the Prince and Princess Lay are crowned and the On the Move Praise Team makes is first appearance. Everyone is welcome.

Faith of Deliverance Church
Due to the rebuild of a new church, Faith of Deliverance Church, 717 Beale St., is temporarily relocating to “Whole Truth International Ministries Church” at 1216 N. Lee St. effective July 15 with Sunday School at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is invited.

Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church
Vacation Bible School is held from 6-8 p.m. July 10-13. All ages are welcome.

New Corinth Baptist Church
The annual Revival is 7:30 p.m. July 9-12 when the Rev. W.G. Grover bring the message. Services culminate at 11:30 a.m. July 15 with the Rev. Marco Grimes bringing the message. Dinner will be served. Everyone is invited.

Old Shady Grove Baptist Church
The Ushers’ anniversary is observed during the 11 a.m. worship service July 8. Everyone is welcome.

ANDERSONVILLE
St. Paul A.M.E. Church
The 20th Pastor’s Anniversary is celebrated at 2:30 p.m. July 8. Guest speaker is the Rev. George Frank Monts Jr. of Plains. The public is invited.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
24/7 Jesus Makes a Way Every Day is the theme of Vacation Bible School from 6-8 p.m. July 9-12. Doors open at 5 p.m. for drop off. Free transportation will be available by call Cynthia Maddox at (229) 938-6224 or David Laster at (229) 942-2667. Closing program is Thursday night.

BUENA VISTA
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church
The annual revival is at 7:30 p.m. July 31-Aug. 2 with Pastor Colby McKenzie as preacher. July 31 features the Mount Olive Choir; Aug. 1, St. Mark; and Aug. 2, Choir, Mount Zion Baptist.
On Aug. 5, the church and pastor’s anniversaries are observed. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. and worship is at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jacob Franklin and New Life Christian Ministry in charge.

Mahalia Chapel A.M.E. Church
Annual Homecoming is celebrated at 2:30 p.m. July 22 when the Rev. Norris B. Harris brings the message.

ELLAVILLE
Jerusalem Baptist Church
Homecoming and Home Mission celebration is July 8 with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. The afternoon service begins at 2 p.m. with special guest, the Rev. Michael Edge and the William Grove Baptist Church family. Dinner will be served.

New Corinth Baptist Church
The Men and Women Day Program is 11 a.m. July 8. Sunday school is at 10 a.m. Speakers are Sister Louise and Deacon Eddie Baisden of Oak Grove Baptist Church. The community is invited.

PLAINS
Bethlehem Baptist Church
The annual Guest Day is observed at 10:45 a.m. July 15. Everyone is invited. Pastor O. Quintodd Bryant delivers the message.

St. Mark A.M.E. Church
Everyone is invited to celebrate the 148th church anniversary at 11 a.m. July 22 with the Rev. O. Quintodd Bryant as speaker. Dinner will be served.

Lebanon Baptist Church
Annual revival services are at 7 p.m. July 16-20 with guest evangelist, the Rev. T.O. Sam of Tessie Hall Baptist Church, Forsyth. The community is invited.

Rylander Church
A Gospel Sing starts at 7 p.m. July 7.

SMITHVILLE
New Hope A.M.E. Church
The annual Back to School Rally from 10 a.m.-noon July 28. School supplies will be donated to all children in the community. Refreshments will be served.

PRESTON
Preston Baptist Church
At 11 a.m. July 8, attending and singing will be a widely-known singer Judy Martin Hess from Nashville singing some great gospel music.
At 6:30 p.m. July 11, the church hosts a fish fry with fish the youth boys caught recently on a fishing trip.
