Congratulations to newly appointed district attorney
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Southwestern Judicial Circuit Chief Assistant District Attorney Lewis R. Lamb of Leesburg on his appointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve as the circuit’s district attorney.
As district attorney, Mr. Lamb will benefit from his 31 years of experience in the legal profession, including the past nine years as chief assistant district attorney in the Southwestern Circuit, prosecuting criminal cases in Lee, Macon, Schley, Stewart, Sumter and Webster counties. I had the pleasure of working closely with him when I was the district attorney in Albany, and he provided quality representation to indigent defendants. I know firsthand that he is a zealous advocate and that he will serve the citizens of the Southwestern Circuit well.
Georgia’s district attorneys fulfill an important responsibility in our criminal courts and to our State. We wish Mr. Lamb well in this new capacity of leadership in the justice system. I know that he will do a great job.
Kenneth B. Hodges III
President, State Bar of Georgia
