“The All-Star festivities went extremely well,” DHBC Basketball Summer League Director Dwight Harris said. “A lot of people came out and watched all the players and then the coaches. It went extremely well for the coaches in the blue-gold game. The Coaches do a great service to this community by volunteering their time. They come out and coach the kids. They don’t have to do that because there is no incentive in it for them. They don’t get paid. It’s a commitment thing for the coaches. They have a love for the community and the kids.” Harris went on to say that people who didn’t have anything to do on a Sunday evening decided to come out and support DHBC basketball.
