Proud of Americus
I have always been proud to be from Americus. This community has been very special to me my entire life. Never more so than when Creed fought his battle with cancer. Through it all, you supported us in ways I could never have imagined.
I couldn’t have dreamed I would see the delight in his eyes as a plane loaded with the Easter Bunny dropped eggs for his benefit; or watch him ride a motorcycle with the Bunny himself. But you made that happen. I remember it like it was yesterday.
And then we lost Creed, and you were there. You wrapped your arms around me and my family in love and concern. I couldn’t have made it through without you.
And now! After losing Frankie Williams, you chose to remember Creed by joining us in the fight against childhood cancer in his honor. The total donated was a whopping $12,000! You will never know what that means to me. I am more proud of my family, friends, and my community than ever before.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
